ASIS Montreal – Chapter 196
ASIS International counts more than 37,000 members and is the preeminent organization for security professionals. Founded in 1955, ASIS is dedicated to increasing the effectiveness and productivity of security professionals by developing educational programs and materials that address broad security interests, such as the ASIS Annual Seminar and Exhibits, as well as specific security topics.
Executive staff of major corporations and other managers, as well as consultants, architects, lawyers and law enforcement officers of all government levels become members of ASIS International to stay on top of the constant evolution of issues and solutions within the security profession.
The Montreal 196 Chapter is continuously striving to offer its members quality services when it comes to networking venues, educational sessions, consistent certification programs and study groups as well as interesting university degrees in security management.
Within the International society, each chapter functions as a miniature society. The role of chapters is to ensure that members have a personal connection with the society. Each chapter can organize local events that promote ASIS International’s mission of increasing professionalism in the security industry.
The Montreal Chapter supports its membership by providing it with various services to improve their knowledge and skills in security activities. We are also continuously working at preparing training activities that will allow security professionals to obtain the coveted CPP certification (has existed for more than 30 years and is recognized as the highest recognition for a security professional) and the PSP and PCI certifications.
ASIS International publishes the only professional magazine that emphasizes security and security management related issues; Security Management.
